I recently underwent a total hysterectomy at the Manor Hospital in Biddenham, Bedford performed by Mr Mahran.Mr Mahran is such a lovely man who made sure I felt reassured and safe from the very first consultation . I received a personal text from him the night before my surgery to reassure me that I was in good hands and I certainly was! The text was a nice thought as I was extremely nervous.The recovery from my procedure was excellent. Minimal cuts and no pain, just a little discomfort. On the second day I was down to pain relief now and then.Following a check up with Mr Mahran, I’ve gone on to make a great recovery and I feel really well, all in just 6 weeks.Thank you so much Mr Mahran for being so lovely and reassuring, you truly are fantastic surgeon.

Dr Mahran is the most professional, kind & amazing consultant / doctor I have ever met. After having many problems with my embedded coil and having problems getting it removed with other hospitals Dr Mahran finally did this for me, after many doctors / healthcare professionals telling me I’d need this removed under general anaesthetic Dr Mahran did this via local anaesthetic And the procedure was almost painless. It was very quick & simple, he was extremely reassuring! I am relieved that the coil is gone & honestly would recommend Dr Mahran to any female that needs any help especially if they have had any problems in the past with other consultants as Dr Mahran is a very understanding man. He was honestly incredible! Thank you so much I’d give 50 stars if I could, he has changed my life forever and I’ll always be grateful!

I really cannot express my gratitude enough to Dr Mahran. He is an excellent surgeon, explained everything clearly. He has a very calm natured demeanour that reassures you of experience and knowledge. From my first appointment with him and my treatment has been a positive experience. He talked me through options about my treatment and he guided and advised. I would highly recommend him. Laura his PA is also very lovely and efficient with responding to queries or messages.

Cannot be more grateful for the support and treatment I received. Came in with PCOS that was causing me multitude of issues - Mr Mahran not only listened sympathetically but put in place a treatment plan which consisted of changing my contraception (coil insertion that was quick and completely painless!) alongside a dietary change which has resulted in me finally having regular periods as well as my rosacea clearing up. I cannot express how much I appreciated his calm and reassuring demeanour in the initial consultation which for anyone else with PCOS will no doubt relate to being consistently dismissed. Thank you so much for everything you have done!

Mr Mahran is an extremely hardworking consultant who nonetheless manages to make each patient feel important. He is exactly what you want in a surgeon: his explanations are straightforward and to the point, but his manner is caring and sympathetic, and his surgical skills are superb. My operation could not have gone better and I already feel like I have a new lease of life after several years of struggling. I very much appreciate what he has done for me.

I can’t recommend Mr Mahran highly enough. My laparoscopy was very quick and the endometriosis was found and dealt with. I’m currently 6 week post op and feeling so much better and no longer taking daily painkillers.

I initially had a private consultation with Mr Mahran after suffering with chronic pelvic pain for over 2 yrs. Mr Mahran patiently listened to my concerns and didn’t dismiss any of my symptoms. Just 2 months after my first appointment Mr Mahran performed a total hysterectomy for pelvic adhesions and Adenomyosis. My scars are now healing very well and are tiny! 7 weeks post op I am happy to say I am feeling so much better and feel I am getting my life back. I’m so grateful that I was able to have this surgery through Bedford NHS trust private patients with an extremely competent surgeon. Mr Mahran assured me I was in very safe hands and I was. 🙏🙏

I recently sought medical care from Mr Mahran for post menopausal bleeding. I am blown away by the exceptional care and kindness shown to me. I have always suffered from health related anxiety and this wonderful man took the time and effort to address my concerns.My first consultation with Mr Mahran was a comfortable and reassuring experience, as he actively listened and understood my concerns. He promptly did an examination with a nurse present thus able to assess the next steps. Swift diagnostic tests where undertaken and result send through to me quickly to reduce my worry and anxiety. I decided to go private after feeling like I wasn’t getting anywhere with my local GP. Within 5 mins of being seen at my first appointment with Mr Mahran, he made a plan of action of what he wants to do. He said more in 5 mins than in the 10 years I have been backwards and forwards. I wasn’t used to things happening so quickly, so my anxiety took over. However I was reassured at every step by Mr Mahran, he was progressional but extremely caring too. He went over and above by reaching out the day before the procedure to once again reassure me.Thank you ever so much for everything. I would definitely recommend him if you need to see a gynaecologist.

Mr Mahran has been a fantastic consultant. Having been diagnosed with endometriosis, he recently performed a hysterectomy on me. He is warm, full of empathy and extremely patient, willing to take as long as necessary to explain diagnosis, procedure and recovery and walked me through all the steps. He goes the extra mile by contacting you personally the day before the operation to reassure you. I have fully recovered now with minimal scarring and am pain free.

Mr Mahran is my fantastic gynaecologist consultant / surgeon who has been with me throughout my endometriosis journey.As a second opinion’ referral; he correctly diagnosed my endometriosis in 2013.I’ve had 3 successful keyhole surgeries’ to alleviate the symptoms from chronic endometriosis and in 2022 at the age of 45 a complete hysterectomy’ as a long term solution and safeguard me from ovarian cancer, which my mum passed with in 2009.Throughout this journey; Mr Mahran and his team’ (at Bedford Hospital and The Manor Hospital) have treated me with consistent respect and consideration; listening to and answering my questions, pre and post surgical care has been fantastic - I could not have wished for a more capable and caring consultant.You are treated as a whole person’ and not just for the gyne challenges you may represent.You will be in skilled, capable hands.Thank you for giving me my life back Mr Mahran.

Mr Mahran takes all the time in the world to listen and talked through all the available options, taking in to account my wishes and negating any worries. He contacted me the day before my operation to reassure me I was in safe hands, and was equally as lovely on the morning of the operation where he came to see me to go through the procedure once again before I went down to surgery. Mr Mahran came to see me later in the day before I went home to tell me the operation had been a success and furnish me with all the details, and answer any of my questions. Having had endometriosis removed twice in the past I was referred to Mr Mahran at the beginning of this year (2020) From the moment we met he put me at ease, explaining everything along the way. He completely understood! I couldn’t believe how quickly I have been seen, operated on and now recovered. Having been back today and been signed off, Mr Mahran is 100% at the top of my Christmas card list!! Any problems, go see this hero!!!
